The summer camp experience helps teach Scouts self-reliance and teamwork. Scouts learn new life skills and are provided with a wholesome and safe environment, and it’s a lot of FUN! The Campership Fund is used to help send Scouts in need, who would otherwise not be able to enjoy these experiences, to summer camp.

There’s a lot more to Scouts BSA camping programs than just pitching a tent and hiking in the wilderness.  Kids learn new life skills that will stay with them long after the campfires are just a wonderful memory.

What a Scout brings home from a camping trip:

  • Renewed sense of purpose
  • New leadership skills
  • A desire to be a good citizen
  • Respect for parents and adults
  • Honesty
  • Kindness
  • Obedience
  • Manners and Morals
  • Commitment to God and Country
