CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers

Loading Events

This hands-on course trains older youth and adults in the most current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and teaches the proper method for using the automated external defibrillator (AED). Students who complete the course will receive a Red Cross certification which is good for 2 years.

This course is more advanced and in-depth than a basic CPR/AED training certification. It teaches those with a duty to respond how to care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants. This is the CPR training that police, fire, EMS, nurses and other health care professionals take–and it’s also ideal for lifeguards. Camp aquatics staff are encouraged to take this training. For anyone seeking BSA Lifeguard certification, the requirements say to “Show evidence of current training in American Red Cross First Aid and American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.”

Pre-registration is required and registration closes one week prior to course. No walk-ins.
