Scout Orienteering (Scout – O)

All Scouts are invited to a weekend of Orienteering. It will be a weekend of outdoor adventure as Webelos, Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts, and Girl Scouts learn and practice map and compass skills as well as work on orienteering-related badge requirements.

Saturday’s program will be skill development, training, and practice. Scouts (and adults) will be able to learn orienteering skills such that they will be able to participate in Sunday’s competition regardless of prior experience. Ample orienteering courses will be available for Scouts to practice their orienteering skills.

Sunday’s program will be the annual New England Scout Orienteering Championship competition. Scouts (and adults) will compete for trophies with other Scouts of the same gender and rank or age level.
