DESCRIPTION:MinuteCub Muster!  There’s Still Time To Register! \nDon’t miss out – this event only happens once every two years!  A Cub Scout MinuteCub Muster centers on colonial life\, Minutemen\, patriotism\, fun and the American Revolution.  There are numerous activities\, songs\, music and discovery making this an event suitable for the entire Cub Scout family.  The MinuteCub Muster anticipates over 2\,000 Cub Scouts\, 100 Boy Scout assistants and 500 BSA Leaders from across New England.  Reservations are secured by payment and should be made early as this event is expected to sell out. \nThis is a family event.  Saturday evening camping is available at Nobscot Scout Reservation in Sudbury and Camp Resolute in Bolton. \nThe PROMO VIDEO offers a great presentation on the MinuteCub Muster\nEvents\nEach Cub or recruit will sign a parchment sheet\, mustering into a regiment of the MinuteCubs town. The MinuteCub will be issued a booklet with questions\, maps\, puzzles and other items to complete at the event. These items highlight various events\, places and people during the American Revolution\, and the founding of our country. \nHighlights include\n\nGunsmith\, farmers\, joiner and chair maker\nCustomize your tricorn hat during registration\nColonial Village Center with miller\, seamstress\, lace maker and pottery making\nLearn the manual of arms with Marching\nReview surgery options and see the surgeons tools\nTour a British and Colonial Encampment with soap making and candlestick making\nMeet a blacksmith and a cooper\nWork with a tin monger\nWho were the Minutemen and what did they do for work?\nSkirmish and tactics between the Minutemen and the British Infantry\nConversations with Minutemen\, French Regulars\, British\, Colonial Regulars and others\nMeet dragoons and learn about horses\nTomahawk throwing plus “retreating” with no sound\nWork with a joiner and cobbler\nMeet George Washington\, John Adams\, Benjamin Franklin and other Patriots\nVarious fife and drums\, violins\, songs. Plus contra dancing for adults\nReview Bunker Hill\, Saratoga\, Trenton\, Monmouth and Yorktown\n“We hold these truths to be self-evident…”\nTake part in border skirmishes\, known as a “very large” FOOD FIGHT\n\n“Due to the time it takes to build muskets and order tricorn hats\, we ask that you register by April 30 to be guaranteed you will receive these items”  Registration will remain open until June 10th. \nCost:  Siblings and Parents are Free!  (only youth need to register) \nMuskets $20 \nTri-corn hats $15 \nExtra T-shirts $10 (2XL and 3XL $15) \nExtra Patches $5 \n  \nIf you would like to reserve a spot at Nobscott Scout Reservations for this weekend\, you must contact Lisa.Olson@scouting.org directly.  You will not be able to reserve on line.
