On behalf of the Executive Board, Scouts and Scouters, and our Mayflower Council professional staff, we want to extend a warm welcome to you, our newest family in the Scouting program, here in the Metro West and South Shore areas.

We are celebrating more than 107 years of Scouting in America! What an adventure it has been, and yet to be! Here in Mayflower Council, that adventure of Scouting is being realized every week at the den, troop and crew meetings, outings, treks and camp programs.

You have joined a vibrant, dynamic, and growing program which has the collective support of hundreds of community organizations, institutions, chartered partners, and dozens of other youth-serving agencies.

The camp properties available to you and your Scouting family are second to none. With three facilities, situated in the northern, southern and central areas of our council, we have the ability to provide distinctive camping experiences throughout our full territory.

Camp Resolute, which is located in Bolton, MA and consists of 325 acres of beautiful forested land and wilderness for a wide variety of outdoor programs, is home to our Adventure Day camp and Scouts BSA camp – both of which are running full to overflowing, due to the excellent programming and reasonable pricing.

Camp Squanto, a nearly 650-acre year-round camping facility located deep in the wood of Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth, MA, offers a high quality long-term camping experience for troops and individuals each summer and is available for various group activities in the off-season.

Nobscot Scout Reservation, located on the border of Framingham and Sudbury, MA, is a parcel of land that is full of history, has ecological importance, and is a true environmental treasure in this part of Massachusetts. Nobscot is about to undergo a dramatic transformation, and become an important regional educational/ecological/historical resource to be used by our Scouts and community.

The Mayflower Council is grateful for the excellent support we receive from existing families in terms of time, talents, and finances. Those who have come before you have laid the foundation for YOU – today – so that your children can enjoy Scouting.

We trust that you will do your part, in whatever way you can, for the kids of tomorrow. Welcome to Scouting! Enjoy the adventure.

Yours in Scouting,

Ian Johnson, Council President

Rich Carlson, Council Commissioner

Bryan Feather, Scout Executive
