Wood Badge 2020

Loading Events

Wood Badge is the premier leadership training course offered by the Boy Scouts of America. This training experience provides dedicated Scouters with the concepts, tools, and methods needed to be effective leaders. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of these critical leadership skills along with a structured opportunity to apply them. The skills you learn will help you become a more effective leader in Scouting, your career, your family, and your community life. This training supports our goal of strengthening Scouting in our units, districts, and council, and providing every Scout with the well trained leaders they deserve!

Wood Badge has two parts:
The practical portion, taught over five full days at camp (usually split into two weekends).
“Working your ticket,” when you apply the Wood Badge skills to complete five goals that you’ll establish for yourself in your Scouting position(s).

This opportunity is open to any registered adult leader who has completed the basic online or in-person training for their position in Scouting.

Our council is part of a group of councils in Eastern and Central Massachusetts who work together to offer Wood Badge courses. This arrangement enables us to make this training available more often than we could on our own. Primary hosting arrangements rotate among the councils, so the registration link will bring you to a different council’s website. Please go ahead and sign up for this course if you can.
